Secondly we aim to create comfortable distance between members of a family, and propose a house that will transform itself according to changes within the family in the future. Thirdly from a broader and global perspective, we focus on minimizing energy consumption by selecting ecological materials and also by creating comfortable living environment without excessive use of air conditioning etc.<\/p>\n<h2>Importance of collaboration<\/h2>\n<p>We believe that good collaboration with professional partners is the key to achieve best architectural design. By gathering abilities and experiences of all people involved from client to carpenter, we are able to achieve a satisfactory result. We believe it is important that everybody should be rewarded equally and our project itself should benefit our society in some ways. Besides regular architectural practice, we work in collaboration with local governments, universities, communities and local businesses to explore new possibilities of local materials in many places in Japan and the world.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"column\">\n<div class=\"box\">\n<h2>The role of an architect<\/h2>\n<p>Architects should be aware of current situations as well as the history of the society.<br \/>\nAnd he\/she should be able to make right decision to build or not build. The most important ability of an architect today is to be able to see things from multiple perspectives and connect people and things to materialize our ideas in the best possible form.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"column\">\n<div class=\"box\">\n<h2>Our prospect for the future<\/h2>\n<p>First we would like to continue designing houses for private clients, as we believe a house is the origin of architecture. And our ambition right now is to broaden our scope of work, we are hoping to build public facilities, collective housings in Japan and overseas. And besides regular projects, our important mission is to explore new possibilities of local materials in collaboration with with local governments, universities, communities and local businesses and create new businesses to regenerate local communities. And we also focus on designing environmentally sound communities.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<header class=\"bordered_title works_archive_title\">\n<h1>Organization<\/h1>\n<\/header>\n<h2 class=\"lined\">Atelier Tekuto is an architectural firm which also hopes to serve as a platform where professionals from various fields meet and create a productive network. We serve as a leaer of the following organizations:<\/h2>\n<div class=\"columns\">\n<div class=\"column\">\n<div class=\"box\">\n<h2>Atelier Tekuto<\/h2>\n<p>Atelier Tekuto is established by architect Yasuhiro Yamashita in Tokyo. Our outstanding achievements in private houses include more than 230 projects as of 2013. Since 2000, we are involved in various projects of new material developments in collaboration with local businesses, universities and governments. We were given the international recognition by winning the honorable \u201car+d Award\u201d(U.K.) for Reflection of Mineral in 2004, and expanded our field by winning the first prize for Busan Eco Center (Busan, Korea), which was completed in 2007. In 2008 we won \u201cInternaitional Archtectural Award\u201d (Russia), and the following year we built Ethiopia Millenium Pavilion in Gondar, Ethiopia. In 2013 we created TeMaLi Architects with Ma Architectural Design Office and Life and Shelter Associates and we won the first prize for the Post-Disaster reconstruction public housing of Kamaishi City, and now the project is in progress.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"column\">\n<div class=\"box\">\n<h2>Project 1000<\/h2>\n<p>Yasuhiro Yamashita established Project 1000 after the Awaji Great Earthquake of Kansai Region in Japan in 1997. The objective of Project 1000 is to offer good quality houses with low construction cost efficiently. Their objective is to build a house with construction cost around \\10,000,000-, and they make project teams with architects and contractors to achieve good quality houses with low cost all over Japan. Atelier Tekuto is one of their project team.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"box\">\n<h2>N\uff65C\uff65S (Network Construction System)<\/h2>\n<p>N\uff65C\uff65S is a non-profit organization established by Yasuhiro Yamashita as an organizer for post-disaster reconstruction projects after the Awaji Great Earthquake. After that their scope of work expanded over Japan, and they are now working on reconstruction projects of Tohoku after the Great Earthquake in 2011. Their objective is to create a collaborative network to support community planning and revitalization and various cultural activities.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"column\">\n<div class=\"box\">\n<h2>Society for Development and Utilization of Local Materials* (*temporary name)<\/h2>\n<p>Society for Development and Utilization of Local Materials is going to be established in September 2013 by Yasuhiro Yamashita as the director. Board of trustees include top professional experts from various fields in leading companies, universities and organizations in Japan. Their objective is to explore new possibilities of local materials and contribute to regenerate local businesses all over Japan and the world.<br \/>\nTheir activities include:<br \/>\nto establish collaborative teams of various fields to work on development and utilization of local material with academic, scientific and technological experts.<br \/>\nTo collaborate with local communities to regenerate its economy by creating new businesses using local material.<br \/>\nTo actively engage in local business activities, community planning and preservation of natural resources.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p><a href=\"\/\/www.pinterest.com\/pin\/create\/button\/\" data-pin-do=\"buttonBookmark\" data-pin-color=\"red\" data-pin-height=\"128\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"\/\/assets.pinterest.com\/images\/pidgets\/pinit_fg_en_rect_red_28.png\" \/><\/a><\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>What is Tekuto?
