lives of all breathing creatures, including humans, on the earth.

Surrounded by beautiful forest, we have been using wood as the main building material in Japan.
It is our mission to preserve wood, as well as develop its effective and innovative uses.

■ About 70% of Atelier Tekuto’s projects are wood construction.

Based on traditional timber framing construction, we also explore new possibilities of wood.
Our current projects include:

• Development of new construction methods using laminated wood
• Preservation of traditional folk houses and old materials/ reinterpretation of traditional
  construction methods
• Development of new wood material in collaboration with top chemistry experts
