Apartment with Windcourt

This apartment building consists of five apartment units for rent. The overall configuration seems rather complex, with irregular volumes and voids-however our design is based on simple design concepts. Firstly comfortable living environments should be achieved in all apartments. Here three courtyards (what we call ‘wind court’) are located to distribute enough light and wind to each of five apartment units. In addition exterior insulation system and insulated double glazed windows are applied to achieve stable thermal environment. Secondly there should be a good variety of housing types. Diagonal walls and random placement of wind courts create dramatic configuration so that all apartment units have unique layouts. Thirdly the apartment units respond to needs of contemporary life styles. We offer various plans to meet needs of contemporary urban life, including an apartment with home office, a duplex, an apartment with motor bike parking space inside etc.
